Tampa Theatre

The Tampa Theatre, designed by John Eberson and opened in 1926, is the gem of Florida’s “atmospheric” movie palaces. The first public building in Tampa to offer what we today call air-conditioning, the theatre, with a capacity of more than 1,200, still enthralls guests with first-run films, classic movies and live entertainment. And, on special occasions, audiences are treated to mini-concerts on the mighty Wurlitzer organ.
