Short Film of the Day: ‘One Week’

April 8, 2020

My Short Film of the Day series has so far featured silents by Charlie Chaplin and Georges Méliès, so it was only a matter of time before Buster Keaton turned up. And this is one of his very best.

Released in 1920, One Week is the first film Keaton released on his own. Co-directed by Edward Cline, it demonstrates Keaton’s mastery of stunt design, direction and execution.
