The 48 Hour Film Project

A chronological index of my articles

I have been associated with the 48 Hour Film Project in a variety of ways since 2013. I first wrote about the timed filmmaking competition in 2013 for both The Orlando Weekly and MeierMovies, and that coverage eventually led to my serving as a judge for the Orlando and Tampa competitions, a judging coordinator for the Orlando competition and — most proudly — a judge for the 2018 Paris Filmapalooza (the international competition of the 48HFP). I was lucky enough to attend six consecutive Filmapaloozas: 2014 in New Orleans, 2015 in Hollywood, 2016 in Atlanta, 2017 in Seattle, 2018 in Paris and 2019 in Orlando, which I helped organize. And, most recently, I was a consulting judge for the 2023 Filmapalooza in downtown Los Angeles.

Below you will find links to all my articles related to the 48HFP, starting with the most recent. For more information, visit And go here for information on the Orlando competition.
