Worst movie credits?
In May 2025, I wrote about weird movie credits, specifically two of the oddest closing-credit sequences in film history: Harry Nilsson singing the credits at the end of Skidoo (1968) and a half-naked Bo Derek getting groped by an orangutan during the end credits of Tarzan, the Ape Man (1981).
But what about the worst credits? For openers, it’s tough to beat the credits of Manos, The Hands of Fate (1966), or lack thereof. (The first few minutes feature little except a slow-moving car set to bad music. Apparently this is where the credits would have gone if director Hal Warren had figured out how to do them.)
A close second might be the “supporting casts” (plural) listed in the opening credits of Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2008). (Did director James Nguyen think he was making multiple movies?)
But a candidate for worst closing credits has just emerged, at least for me, as I finally got around to subjecting myself to Neil Breen’s debut film, Double Down (2005). Check out the image above. Breen apparently felt compelled to confirm in writing what is painfully obvious throughout his failed experimental film: Lighting and makeup/hair is non-existent. That confirmation is the movie’s only honest moment.

This cracks me up. It is hard to beat that Skidoo closing credit piece.
I wonder if that was a joke. Ha Ha Ha
