Anniversary bash features X Challenge awards

The Organization of Independent Filmmakers (OIF) celebrated its 10-year anniversary last night at Full Sail Live in Winter Park, Florida.

The event featured a retrospective of the first 10 years and tributes to those who have contributed to the group’s success, including founders Lenny and Tzvia LoRusso.

OIF also presented 39 crystal trophies to filmmakers who had participated in the recent X Challenge, which tasked participants with creating a nine-minute film in a limited amount of time. Films had to adhere to one of three genres: psych-thriller, rom-com or superhero.

The winner in the psych-thriller category was Where the Light Stays, the rom-com winner was The Lounge Singer, and True North took home the trophy for best superhero film.
