Reviewing Orlando Fringe 2016

2015Fringe_HeaderSwitching gears slightly from film to theatre, I’ve been reviewing (as I do each year) the Orlando Fringe theatre festival in Orlando, Florida. It’s arguably the best art event in Central Florida as it brings together all types of live theatre from local, national and international performers. And even more impressive is the fact that it’s the largest Fringe festival in the country. However, because it’s not juried, quality varies widely, from off-Broadway caliber to one step above high school. But that’s almost part of the eclectic Fringe charm: You never know what you’re gonna get.

For complete coverage, check out www.OrlandoWeekly.com. But for a brief glimpse at three of my favorite shows so far, check out the links below.

Simpleton: The Legend of Donald Trump
No Tweed Too Tight: Another Grant Canyon Mystery
Blonde Poison

Fringe continues through May 30 at Loch Haven Park. For more information, see www.OrlandoFringe.org.
